Lady Eagles Conquer Del Rio The Lady Eagle varsity softball team (District 29-5A champions with a 15-0 record) thumped Del Rio 8-1 on Tuesday. EPHS’s varsity and junior varsity softball teams finish up their district schedule by visiting Laredo Cigarroa at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and then playing C.C. Winn at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Unbeaten Lady Eagles in first place Eagle Pass High School’s varsity soft- ball team held an unblemished league record of 8-0 and stood atop of District 29-5A after squashing Del Rio (11-1) in five innings on Monday, Laredo Nixon (15-0) in three innings on Tuesday and Laredo Cigarroa (11-1) on Wednesday. Eagles win district opener Eagle Pass High School’s varsity football team won their District 29-5A opener by defeating Laredo LBJ 21-14. Jose Rodriguez hauled in a 25-yard pass from Tommy Galvan for a touchdown during the Eagles’ opening drive. Rodriguez threw a 30-yard scoring strike to Hector Gloria in the second quarter.
