There have been unofficial reports of an ongoing investigation concerning an apparent fraud against the city of Eagle Pass in an amount that could be more than 30 thousand dollars.
So far, no authority or law enforcement agency has come forth to confirm the allegations, and consequently details are unknown about the specific misuse of funds, however it could be that the investigation is reaching it's final stages and details about the specific people who are involved and charges against them could be forthcoming.
Preliminary reports are unofficial but if confirmed the news of such misappropriations of funds could be very serious.
