Thousands of people attended the traditional meal of Thanksgiving this past Sunday at C.C. Winn High School that is offered every year with the support of H.E.B. in collaboration with the school district, non-profit organizations and a large number of volunteers.
The event was a huge success as many hundreds of families enjoyed the turkey dinner and pumpkin pie dessert. A total of 6,123 plates were served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and it took 1,000 committed volunteers to bring this event to our community members.
Before the feast began a ceremony was conducted in the C.C. Winn auditorium, present were various city and school district officials. The event was a great success and shows yet again that the community of Eagle Pass has a lot to be thankful for.
