Several C.C. Winn High School varsity softball players were recently selected for the All- District 29-5A team. Freshman Ronnie Valdez (third baseman) was named as Newcomer of the Year. Junior Krystal Contreras was voted as 29-5A’s Outstanding Pitcher.
Voted onto the first all-district team were Senior Norma Moreno (first base), Junior Dulce Vasquez (short- stop) and Aimee Ramirez (outfielder).
Selected for the second all-district team were juniors Analaura Perez (catcher), Grace Cantu (outfielder) and Sophomore Rosemary Hernandez (second base).
Freshman Natalie Garcia received Honorable Mention. Talia Acevedo made the All-Academic list.
