Eagle Pass High School’s varsity baseball team (in third place in District 29-5A with an 8-5 record) edged Laredo United South 6-5 in twelve innings on Tuesday. The Eagles jumped ahead 4- 0 in the first inning but United South knotted the game up by scoring a pair of runs in both the third and fifth innings. Both teams scored once more in the tenth frame and then EPHS tallied the game-winner in the bottom of the twelfth.
The Eagle varsity baseball team hosts Laredo Nixon at 7:30p.m. on Tuesday, and then visits Laredo Cigarroa at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
EPHS's junior varsity and freshman baseball teams host Laredo Nixon at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
