The Maverick County Lake is currently seeing some drastic changes which include an aquatic park and the introduction of catfish into its waters. The aquatic park, which was officially opened this past week, is a $100,000 investment on the part of the Commissioners Court and will be oped year round, pending inclement weather. The lake will be receiving several thousand catfish later this month after it was announced by Commissioner Maldonado that he has made a sizable purchase from a fish farm in Fredicksburg, Texas. The purchase was overseen by officials of the Texas Parks and Wildlife service, according to the Commissioner.
