Roxie Correa, Luis de la Cruz, Mario Tijerina, and Juan Garza were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Ancira Eagle Pass Ford Mercury and Ford Motor Company. The Built Ford Tough Trucks FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA membersí talents and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements. The Scholarships are part of 452 scholarships awarded this year by the Ford Division, Ford Motor Company Fund and Ancira Eagle Pass to FFA members who are high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2009, as well as current collegiate students. The program is a part of Fordís overall commitment to the National FFA Foundation. Additionally, five $1,000 national scholarships are being awarded on behalf of Ford Motor Company. The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, is a national youth organization of 507,763 student members- all preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture-as part of the 7,439 local FFA Chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education
