The annual event in which the community joins to honor the top students at both high schools can also be described as one of the most important events of the year. This is when community leaders recognize the hard work and dedication of these young men and women. The twenty students, ten from each high school, were treated to the community breakfast yesterday morning and were greeted with a standing ovation for their achievement. In attendance were local dignitaries and business people. The event is one of the better attended events sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and this year was no exception, close to two hundred were in attendance. Both Mr. Diaz Weber and Mr. Bowles presented the top students of the graduating class of 2009, the pride of their schools.
